Hello, my name is Jordan, the founder of F&D, along with Frankie & Dottie themselves of course, and this is our story!

 

I have always loved dogs: our family have had several Boxers over the years (Red, Stingo, Spike & Ruby) as well as our Cocker Spaniel Molly. In 2017, along came our very own Frankie and 8 months later, her full sister Dottie, my first time being a proper Dog Dad!

 

I quickly came to realise a couple of things about the Petwear industry: First, it is extremely difficult to find quality clothing and accessories for Dachshunds. Tiny legs, big chests, long bodies: adorable but a nightmare sizing.

I also found that, while there is a lot of clothing and products for humans to express their love of dogs, it wasn’t up to the same quality or style that I’d want to wear.

So, in 2020 during the lockdowns and facing redundancy from my job, I took the plunge and decided to create a dog lifestyle brand and thankfully, have never looked back!

F&D is now coming up to 3 years old and we sell on both our own website and Joules, have wholesale stockists and have traded at Discover Dogs, DogFest & Crufts!

 

What started a personal project, specifically aiming to solve the small dog, fussy owner problem, has now turned into my passion and career. We’re no longer just a “small dog brand”, because we love all dogs, no matter shape, size or breed. 

Our goal is to capture that special connection between dog and owner: we want our products to be for every dog and everyone. 

We aspire to be a force for good: a lifestyle brand and community, rather than just a business. This means looking after our planet and the people and animals that inhabit it. We try to ensure that our products and packaging are eco-friendly, recyclable and not just single use, and while we don’t always get it right first time, we strive to learn, improve and contribute to the protection of our planet.

Charity is a big part of our brand values, and we’re starting to work with dog and breed specific charities to help improve the lives of man’s best friends. Keep an ear out for big news coming this year.
